Galaxy S3 Neo has previously received the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update and Samsung has not revealed any information regarding Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy S3 Neo. So we can assume that Samsung is not gonna roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware, in this case Galaxy S3 Neo can only be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop with the help of Custom ROM’s. So here we have brought CyanogenMod 12 ROM for Galaxy S3 Neo using which you can update Galaxy S3 Neo to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

If you are ready to install CM 12 on Galaxy S3 Neo then let’s begin the process of updating Galaxy S3 Neo to Android 5.0 Lollipop via CM 12 ROM and go through all the pre-requisites listed below before proceeding.
- Make sure your device is Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo with model no GT-I9300I or GT-I9301I.
- Backup your device completely, if possible create a Nandroid Backup of your device.
- Charge your device to at least 75%.
- Enable USB Debugging.
- Root and install Custom Recovery on Galaxy S3 Neo.
Once you have followed all the above listed requisites, you can proceed to update Galaxy S3 Neo to Android 5.0 Lollipop using CM 12 ROM.

How to update Galaxy S3 Neo to Android 5.0 Lollipop using CM 12 ROM:
Download the ROM package, Google Apps Package and Camera Fix from the above links.
Copy all the packages to the root of your device’s SD card.
Power off Galaxy S3 Neo.
Enter into Recovery Mode. To do so, press and hold the Volume up and Home buttons and while holding them turn on your device.
Once you are in Recovery Mode, wipe all the data, cache and dalvik cache.
Now select “Install zip from SD card” and choose the ROM package and install the same.
Follow the above steps for the Google Apps Package and Camera Fix package.
Once done, Go Back and select “reboot system now”.
