Would this work for Indian Zenfone 5 as well?

Depending on the exploit, could something similar work on the MeMO Tab 8 ME181C (which is also Asus, Atom processor, Kitkat)? I know the app is device specific, but if there is a generic root available for the above conditions, I would love to know about it.

    • As the app is specific for Zenfone, i think it will not work for MeMO Tab 8 ME181C. Anyhow you can try and do let us know if it works!!!

Tried it already, it does say it’s only for Zenfone, and no Root button. I’m curious if the device criteria was removed would it go through. But then again, the exploit could be particular only for Zenfone 5.

    Actually i have three questions,
    1. will this work on the kitkat update of zenfone 5?
    2. will you still get OTA updates from asus after root?
    3. if u get updates, then will that update unroot my phone?

      1. Ya, this rooting method works on the Kitkate Zenfone 5.
      2. You can continue to receive OTA updates.
      3. Major Android updates sometimes un-root your device. Small updates like bug fixes don’t un-root your device.[Major Android update includes whole new version of OS i.e., updating rooted device on Android 4.3 to Android 4.4 can un-root your device]
