Nokia X – Nokia’s first Android Smartphone announced with 4-inch display at MWC 2014 – Check Specs, Features, Price and availability details
As expected, Nokia has launched its long rumoured Nokia X, codenamed Nokia Normandy at MWC 2014 event, which is currently being held at Barcelona in Spain. Nokia X is the company’s first Android based device. Nokia X’s software platform is built over AOSP with Microsoft’s Cloud services along with Nokia experience. And at this MWC 2014 event Nokia has not only launched one device, but also launched two other Smartphones which also runs on Android platform.
Nokia X features a 4-Inch WVGA display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. Nokia X runs on Android based platform, which gives Nokia’s own experience combined with Fastlane experience from Asha built over Android.
Nokia X supports memory expansion up to 32GB via microSD card and sports a 3MP fixed focus rear camera, with no LED flash. It also misses a front facing camera. Coming to connectivity Nokia X supports Dual-SIM and also supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS. It also comes with OneDrive support and uses Microsoft’s Cloud instead of Google Cloud for app data, and also comes pre-installed with Nokia’s Here Maps.
Nokia X will be available in many ranges of colors like Green, Cyan, White, Black and Red, which will give us total rights to choose our favourite color.
