Moto G: How to Fix the “no sound during calls” issue

Motorola Moto G is one of the best budget Android smartphone launched in India. Due to its quality specs at reasonable pricing, it has got great hit in the Indian Smartphone market.

Like all other smartphones, this device also comes with small bugs. One of the major bug which have been seen in the device is “no sound during calls”. During an ongoing calls, the speaker and mic of the smartphone suddenly doesn’t works. Many user are facing the same problems, so here we shared simple guide to fix Volume during calls on Moto G.

How to solve “no sound during calls” on Moto G:

The problem of volume during calls can be easily solved by just switching to Dalvik Cache from ART. ART Runtime may be the reason behind mute of calls which is the major bug of Moto G smartphone. Follow the below steps to convert to Dalvik Cache.

1. Firstly open Settings on your device.

2. Next select About Phone.

3.  Here enable the Developer options by tapping the Build Number about 7 times.

4. Head back to System Settings and select Developer Options.

5.  Locate the “Select Runtime” option and there select “Use Dalvik”.

6. The device ask to reboot. Confirm!

Note: The above guide works for Moto G 2013 running on Android not for any other smartphone of Motorola (Moto E, Moto G 2014).

If your device is running on Lollipop firmware, enter into recovery and perform wipe data & factory reset. Make sure to take backup before resetting the device.
