Micromax introducing of new company the “YU” was a smart move for the Indian Smartphone giant. But have to see whether it achieves the likes of the Indian customers or not by providing better service facility.
The first flash sale of YU Yureka has been successfully completed on 13 January and it is said that a total of 10,000 units were sold in just 3 seconds. The YU Mobiles followed the same flash sale system like that of Xiaomi Android Smartphone’s. So, this device will be competing with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G smartphone which also has similar specifications and price tag. The company also apologised for the errors occurred at the time of first flash sale (price tag error).

It has 5.5-inch HD IPS display and the viewing angle of the device looks decent. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered with an Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor. The Yu Yureka also includes a 5MP front facing camera with OmniVision 5648 sensor, 4P lenses and offers 71-degree wide viewing angle.
Though the device has 5.5-inch huge display, it is not that much heavy. It comes with usual capacitive touch screen buttons below the display and in addition the home button has a circular outline. All the buttons are backlit. The thinnest part of the device is 6mm and the thickest part is 8.8mm.
The YU Yureka has matte finish on the back that gives a smooth rubber-like feel, even it is made of plastic.
At the back, the device comes with “YU” branding which gives a premium look. Above the branding there is 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 5P lenses and Sony Exmor RS IMX135 sensor. It can record videos at maximum 1080p resolutions at 30fps. The device is also capable of recording slow motion videos at 720p resolutions at 60fps.
Under the back cover, there is 2500 mAh battery, a microSD card slot and also includes two micro SIM slots. The internal storage of the Yureka is 16GB and packs with 2GB RAM.
