How to Update Lava Iris X1 Grand to Android 5.0 Lollipop Firmware
Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware update has been started rolling out to Lava Iris X1 Grand smartphone. So, if you own Iris X1 Grand then the wait is over to experience the Android Lollipop firmware. Lava Mobiles promised to update the device in the official launch back in January this year. So as per promise, Lava started rolling out the firmware update.
The Lava Iris X1 Grand features a massive 5-inch display (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display, has a 8MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, 2MP selfie camera and includes a 2200 mAh battery on the back. It is powered with Quad Core MEdiaTek MT6582 processor with Mali-400 GPU clocking at 1.3GHz and adds 1GB RAM for better multi-tasking.
The features of Android 5.0 Lollipop includes Material Design with bold, and responsive UI design, adds battery saver, better notifications, increase in security levels, Quick Settings options, Improved network handoffs, flexible sharing, smoother experience and more.
The OTA update of Lava Iris X1 Grand smartphone is about 514.71MB. You can manually check for update by going to Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Updates. Here it will ask you to download and install the update. Use high-speed internet to update your device. Also backup all your device data and perform factory reset for restoring default system files.
