Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update rolls out to Samsung Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915G in Australia

Samsung started rolling out Android 5.0.1 update to Samsung Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915G Android smartphone. The update is available only in Australia but soon rolling out to other parts of the world. So Samsung is striving hard to update all its popular flagship devices. Recently it rolled out Android Lollipop update to the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Note 3, the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S4 in various global market.

The Lollipop update is via OTA (over-the-air) and is about 1018.12 MB in size. You can check for update manually by going to main Settings > About phone > Software Update menu. As the update size is large, it’s better to use high-speed internet for downloading the firmware. Carrier branded devices users may have to wait until its respective company approves the update.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update started rolling out just few days after receiving to the Galaxy Note 4 flagship. Both the devices shares many of the same internal components making that as a key reason for together firmware updates.
